I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul

Today is a new day, a new start, a new outlook. I made lemonade with the lemons life gave me! So what that it was a little bitter. So I don't have a job in interior design or architecture, who's to say I won't soon? No one really knows. God knows, and God has a plan for me. Tomorrow I will play in some dirt and listen closely for God to speak to me. One thing God has given me is a GREAT group of friends, and a wonderful loving family. I am blessed to be in the Garden Club with so many wonderful women. I am blessed to have met such amazing people in the Blogging community. When I first started this I wasn't so sure about it, but I was soon addicted to this! It is my virtual escape. I can travel around the world in 5 minutes! I can see what is growing in South Africa, have tea in England, and then a quick jump to Sweden. I can browse through zones 5, 6, and 8 too see what my fellow gardeners are growing right now. I learn from them, I get ideas from them. It amazes me that I have followers!! People actually want to read what I post....lol!!! Amazing!!!!!!! Who knew!!!!!!!!! Yesterday was a great day....besides one minor thing! My "digger" buddy Ramona took me to eat lunch at a local eatery, and we ran into The Brown's!! We all know I love them. Ofcourse this made my day. They are hilarious! They eat at this restaraunt every day, and Mrs. Brown kept introducing Ramona and I as her "digger" buddies!!! LOL!!! She kept telling people that we were "diggers" just like her!I don't know about ya'll.....but that is funny! We were discussing how everyone would wear a straw hat the day of the tour so visitors would know we were with the Garden Club. The Brown's are on tour, so she asked if they should wear hats. Mr. Brown said he would wear a hat his daughter bought him, to which Mrs. Brown replied that he would do no such thing. She said she was worried it would offend some people....I asked what the hat said: "I feel the need to plant a seed". LOL!!!!!!!!! How funny is that!!! So I will be making a new garden sign with that saying on it. I love it!!!!!! Later I went to another diggers house. She gave me TONS of pansies that she had dug up. Her yard is also on tour, so she is getting ready. I am beyond grateful for all of them. BUT I didn't thank her....remember what Mrs. Brown says,"don't thank me yet, they may die". After that I went over to Ramona's and we worked on the hats for the Garden Tour. They look great! I will post pics of them soon. Here is one of my favorite poems...this is how I feel
Invictus
OUT of the night that covers me, Black as the Pit from pole to pole, I thank whatever gods may be For my unconquerable soul. In the fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance My head is bloody, but unbowed. Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the Horror of the shade, And yet the menace of the years Finds, and shall find, me unafraid. It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll, I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul.
William Ernest Henley. 1849–1903

You never know what God has planned. He may have some job lined up that is even bigger and better. That doesn't make it any easier but we have to know that He does know what is best.

Love your fantastic attitude. He planned you well!!!

Susie - God will reveal his plan to me when he feels I am ready I suppose. I throw around many ideas in my head. I would like to have a landscaping business, draw houseplans. Who knows...we shall see! I am glad you think he planned me well...I have days where I just don't know about that...but then again don;t we all
