My little Scooter just passed away.
He was sick this morning. I brought them to work so I could watch them. I had him on a heating pad, and gave him pedialite. My friend works for our local environmental center, and she rescues baby bunnies, squirrels, etc. I was going to take Scooter to her house this afternoon so she could nurse him back to health. But my little Scooter didn't make it :(.
I thought he was doing better...he was hopping and eating.
When we found him he was bleeding at his nose. I wonder if maybe a hawk hadn't already picked him up and dropped him.
So....thats that.

I'm really sorry about this, Princess.
That's sooooo sad I'm sorry. They were such cute little guys.
Aww. My same experience when I had baby bunnies. So sad. I hioe the other little one does well. Our last bunnie was overfed and spoiled.
I hate to hear that. How old was he?
Thanks guys. I had grown pretty fond of him. Atleast Skeeter and Kiki are ok. I hope Skeeter stays well.
Phillip - Best we can tell....5 weeks. Just a baby. Someting had ran them out of their burrow and gotten their mom
I'm sorry to hear that. He was such a cute little guy, it's hard to lose a pet no matter how long you've had it.
That breaks my heart. He was so cute!
aw, how sad. maybe your friend can check out skeeter just in case it was something contagious/could be treated with a cheap round of antibiotics. hugs.
Oh.....I am so sorry about your sweet Bunny.
Hope the others make it!

I'm so sorry for your loss- he was really cute.
Oh. So sorry to hear that.
How very sad for you and for Scooter. You did everything you could, it is really sad.
Oh, I hate sad animal stories almost more than ANYTHING, it hurts so much and I feel your pain, even if they are wild ones, it still is almost too much to bear! So sorry DP.
sorry to hear that..... ~ bangchik
Ugh! That's so awful. At least his last moments were spent in a loving safe environment, curled up on a heating pad and safe from predators.
Oh, dear, little bunnies look so fragile...sorry Scooter didn't make it.
That's so sad. I've tried to rescue several over the years, and it seems they're in too much shock. Few of them ever made it. But they are...so cute, and is so..oo sad.
Very sad, I'm sorry. I think taking in a wild animal like that is always a complicated thing, because you can know so little about their past.
I'm so sorry about Scooter .. it really leaves us with an ache in our hearts when they leave us like this.
