Today is ...the day

Today is the day I have been waiting on for 10 months....10 months to the day to be exact.
Long story (see 25 Random Things About Me)....but the short version is that I lost my job a year ago. I am one of the few people that actually love my job (loved). I am an interior designer, and I love every minute of it. Lets not confuse Interior Designer with Interior Decorator...there is a difference...a big difference. If you want to know the difference just ask....so anyway...there is not exactly a plethora of jobs in my field in Mobile. Back in May I got a call from a friend of mine that works downtown for The US Army Corp of Engineers (we will call them COE for short). He is an architect I used to work with....anyway he referred me for a position. It is a very exciting job. I would get to travel, design amazing spaces, and HAVE A JOB IN MY FIELD!
Government positions take forever......10 months it has taken them to advertise this position.
So I have now applied to the COE and I am praying I get it. I have prayed to get it every day since I interviewed. I pray that God will bless me (and The Hunter) with this job.
Now onto things that grow in the dirt....
I love to get flowers....flowers I can plant. We received so many beautiful flowers from wonderful people. I wanted to share a few of them with you.
Don't know what this one is (???) but I do love it
Bromeliad (sp?)
She's a daisy...and she has a follower (keep reading)
My mom told me what this is...but at the moment it has slipped my mind...but I will be planting some of these
My mom bought me this beautiful arrangement of daffodils, tulips and hyacinth and it smells heavenly. Before I left to go to work today I set the Daisy buy this arrangement...when I walked in the door this is what I saw...
The daffodil is leaning in for a kiss......

Oh, I hope you get the job. It sounds like you would very much enjoy it.

The pics of the cozy flowers are fun. Glad you spotted that. And could that white flower be freesia? Does it smell? Also meant to compliment you on your garden journal. I suck at any sort of diagramming and am always impressed when others do it.

Good luck! I think they would be lucky to get you. That first plant looks like a peace lily - does it have white flowers that look like a photographer's studio light? The name of the white and pink flower escapes me but I think it starts with an 'A'. LOL

Phillip...I am not sure that it is a peace lily - maybe. It is REALLy big. Like elephant ear big. There are no flowers on it yet...

Gardeness ...I think you are right..I believe mom said that it was freesia. I need to look it up...I would like to plant some. They are beautiful
