Fly Rita, Fly!

Rita Brown is one of the founding members of The North Mobile Garden Society. For the past 17 years she has been fighting (and FIGHTING HARD) multiple types of cancer, breast cancer, bone cancer, brain cancer. The brain cancer caused Rita to lose her vision in the recent months, but Rita never gave up. Rita has been in a nursing home for the past few months. She has fought it til the end. Last night at our Garden Club meeting Debbie and Doreen where there. They are 2 of Rita's very dear friends. They have been there for Rita everyday. It is amazing to have such wonderful friends, and God has blessed Rita with many of them. Debbie told us that hospice did not expect Rita to make it through the night. I have not heard an update this morning. Please pray for Rita, her family and her friends to get through this very difficult time. I am going to file this under Gifts from Garden Friends....because Rita has given so many of us in The North Mobile Garden Society an amazing gift that we all are so thankful for, a gift that we would not have had without her.
