North Mobile Garden Society Pre-Tour - The Jones'

Next stop on our Pre-Garden Tour is at the lovely garden of Ed & Marilyn Jones. You can find Marilyn at http://wcgardener.blogspot.com/. Please go visit her, she is a quite remarkable lady.
In 1995 Marilyn was out in her garden working. Meanwhile a 14 year old boy entered her home, and was looking for money to go to McDonald's. He found her pistol, that she kept for safety. While she was resting in her garden, he shot her. She laid there alone for several hours until her brother stopped by to visit, and found her. She is paralyzed from the chest down. She is a gift beyond words, and inspiration. She is an angel.
Their garden is on 1.9 acres...and they have utilized every square inch of it. Ed likes to grow fruit and vegetables, and Marilyn likes all the pretty flowers
Ed's beans....I thought this was a great shot, you can see the bean!! Yummy!
Thorn less blackberry. They actually gave one to me. It is doing really good. It has the best blackberries! They are huge. Ed said it only takes 89 berries to make a quart!
Fruit orchard
Greenhouse...I just love the greenhouse...so did everyone else!
Vegetable garden
Corn and other veggies
I just thought this was too cute! Way to make a stump cute!
Now this is not in their yard, it was actually across the street. How neat is this!
Hope you enjoyed the tour of Marilyn and Ed's place. Now run on over and visit Marilyn's blog.

What a story! I feel like I've been to church just reading it. Her garden tour was wonderful. I dont think I'll complain about how much my feet hurt when I'm done from gardening anymore.
