Fertilizer Friday

Wow I can't believe it is already JULY 31st!!!!!!! Where does the time go???? It's Friday...and ya'll know what that means!!!!!!!! Click on the Fertilizer Friday Icon above to go directly to Tootsie's page and sign up for Fertilizer Friday or to just look at other great gardens.
It was raining yesterday afternoon, and all night. I wasn't able to get my FF shots yesterday afternoon...so I had to get them this morning.....which means...foggy camera lens....so bare with me!
The lens starts on fine...the longer I am outside...the more it fogs up. You can tell in this picture...it is getting foggier!
I love cosmos....but I didn't realize when I planted them that they were going to get this big, and out of control....I completely hate where they are planted. Had I known this, they would have been planted in the rear of each bed instead of up front...oh well.....live and learn! They totally block out other plants!
The rains have beat down alot of plants....you can see this Cosmo leaning
This Gerbera Daisy has been the A+ plant for the year! It has bloomed about 30 times this summer.....I don't know where I got this one from.....but I need about 50 more of it!!!!!!!
Periwinkle (white) and Vinca (pink)
The rain has done a wonder on the flowers, grass and weeds. The grass is in desperate need of a cut, and the weeds are out of control. Now Cherry said she didn't see any weeds in yesterday pictures....so Cherry......here are a few weeds for you my dear......
I don't know what this is...but I'm sure its a weed. It is hiding behind the Prairie Coneflower...the tall weed....yeh that one....needs to be plucked up!
and here are 3 more of them......well atleast I "think" its a weed...I could be wrong...I have been before. Does that look like a weed to ya'll? You know I planted so many seeds that "didn't" make it, and then I find them 5 months later growing! LOL!!
Here we have some LOVELY crabgrass....it is the weed of choice for my flower beds.
It is supposed to rain all weekend. I hope that I can get outside tomorrow and work in the yard. I will probably pull a truck load of weeds out of the beds! I also need to stake up alot of plants that keep falling over.
I hope ya'll have a great weekend!

How is July over already? I can't tell you how much I miss seeing rain on plants. Everything looks so happy! Those Cosmos can get big, but they are great. I've got them everywhere, some in the front, some in the back.
That pink rose is really pretty.

LOL how nice you are to show Cherry those weeds. Too funny. I know they are out of control here too.
Your flowers look wonderful - guess all of that hot weather you had didn't hurt them much. I think I may have lost a few from all the heat we've been having. I've been a mess all week - brain fried. It's cool this morning - first time in a week. I hate hot weather!!!!!
Your roses are beautiful!

Looks great even with the foggy lense...I have those weeds too, sometimes I think it's a red bud tree...........

First few pictures are roses... ah, they are so lovely. When you have so many, Kakdah has only one in a pot. It is flowering now, but with only ONE flower... I will take a photo before the flower wilt and drop.

Have Fun

I think the fogginess of the lens gives the picture an almost soft touch. The rose pics turned out really nice.

Not sure what your weed is, sorry.

Your rose is so pretty. I love that the gerbera puts out so many flowers. They are so great for summer. That looks like my weeds.

Love all your dewey flowers. The extra moisture looks like sparkling diamonds. Bet there are a lot of folks out there that would kill for some of you rain.

Those rose pictures are just beautiful. I am always pulling out stuff that I think are weeds, but are actually flowers. I think sometimes it's better to let them grow, just in case. In my garden, one more weed ain't really gonna make that much of a difference anyway.

Lovely blooms. Yes, cosmos can surprise us and get really big. Let's hope the rain holds off for you on the weekend so you can get some time outside.

I just realized it's August 1st today! Isn't that humidity a hassle for picture taking?

Everything in your garden looks so lovely. I don't have much going on in my gardens so I didn't participate again. But you know I'm gonna go look at everybody else's flowers!!

Have a great weekend.

The "weed" looks like a popcorn tree to me. If you have one nearby, they will come up everywhere!
