Consignment Finds

I don't know WHAT is going on with my picture up-loader today???? It has uploaded pictures turned the wrong way, and then crams them in without centering them like I selected. Whatever..its Monday...so just ignore that! A while back a bought a box of pulls and old door knobs at my favorite consignment shop for about $10. It was full of stuff of neat stuff. I wasn't sure what to do with all of it, but then I found this huge frame at the same shop for $5....so I came up with an idea.
A sprayed the frame black and hung all the knobs and pulls inside of it. I had this old metal frame and painted it as well....not sure if I like it, I may change it out. But I do love the kettle!
Here's the sideway picture...UGH!!! Turn your head to the left to see better! Old drawer pulls and door knobs
Old candle holder, & some rusty keys
I bought this window at the consignment shop a while back. I wanted some interesting tea kettles and cups to hang inside of each pane. The kettles couldn't be glass, etc., because that's to heavy. I found these great copper ones that were perfect! I want some really snazzy tea cups to hang in the other panes, the blue speckle ones will have to do for now!

Here's where the pictures get crazy!!!

I made an arrangement with orange zinnia's and crocosmia the other day. I thought it looked really great. We had a really good rain yesterday afternoon. We are at the period of summertime when we get afternoon showers almost everyday, I hope that is the case! It is supposed to rain again today! I sure do hope so.

Saturday night we had a fish fry and invited people over to watch UFC 100 (Ultimate Fighting Championship). I know it is so barbaric, but I love it!!! Yesterday we went to the Bass Pro Shop. Man I love that store! I will post on it tomorrow. It is a really cool place.

Love the little black frame, and the flowers too! My computer is haywire this morning too. I just left you a comment, and got disconnected, and the comment disappeared. Stupid computer!

I love the doorknobs and keys, and the old window frame is such a great idea. I need to check some of those shops around here for some hidden treasures.
My husband watches UFC sometimes and for some reason when it's on I usually watch it with him.
Glad you're getting rain, we got a little, but still not very much.

Hey! Nice work! I did the same thing to a window like that :0) Great minds think alike!! I even have the same copper tea kettle that has the ceramic on the lid and handle!!!! Freaky! My kettle isn't quite as tarnished though. I got mine at a garage sale for a buck. I like your idea with the old pulls! Smiles! :0)

Hey DP I love what you did with your knobs and pulls. You are so creative!

As I am typing this we just had a lovely thunderstorm with wonderful rain. I'm a happy camper for sure but probably not as much as my plants. Yippee!!

This is the first time I have heard thunder and seen lightning in I don't know when.

looks wonderful girl!!! If you want to put cups...why not paint some camp cups? they are lightweight.

Tatyana thanks :)

Teresa thanks. Apparently my computer is hung over from the weekend

Catherine I love to watch crazy men beat the crap out of each other, then get up and shake hands! Crazy!

Amanda so glad you stopped by

Debbie I am still looking for stuff to add to it

Lisista I cannot believe you have the same kettle! That is a trip!

Susie that sound is music to my ears! I love the sound of thunder!

Tootsie I have 4 of those blue speckle ones. It just isn't the "look" I am going for. I want some nice, unique tea cups, and 2 more kettles. So keep your eyes open for copper kettles! I missed Lesner's appology! I did NOT know he was married to SABLE!!! UGH!!!

Aren't you creative! Love that black frame to start with, and all of the metal thingies inside it! That's such a great idea, hanging the pots and cups inside the window too. Love that floral arrangement too. Lucky you, getting a rainshower almost every day. I had no idea!

Love your creativity. What a great way to display some knobs and pulls. The window looks good with the kettle and cups hung.

What a great idea to do that on your fence. I wouldn't have thought to do it, but it so works.

Such a great idea!

And I'm so happy to hear you're getting rain. I felt so guilty complaining about ours when you were doing without. Very insensitive of me. Hope you and your gardens are soaking it up!

Hi DP, you are just so creative. Getting all of that stuff at the consignment shop was neat... AND--finding ways to display it is even neater.

Have a great day tomorrow. Did you get your rain????
Hugs,
Betsy

You found some great things Princess. Love the frames too. We haven't gotten any rain but are looking for some any day now. It's a little hard to read your post due to the creative vertical lines........

I am glad ya'll like it! I am not sure about the spot where I have it, but I can always move it! I am going to keep looking for little trinkets to add to it

OK, I have the same kettle too...they must have been quite the sellers back in the day since all three of us live so far apart!

Lilsista and Heather, I CANNOT believe we all 3 have the same kettle! How ironic is that!

Darla sorry about the lines, it will change it
