Do you remember when your Bilbo visited Bilbo in Cumbria England. One of the photos shows Bilbo in the garden at Wordsworth House and then 'popping' off to see the river. Well I've just read Bilbo's latest post and it turns out that same river was one of the worst hit areas of flooding in England last month and the entire garden was destroyed. (http://theotherviewfrombagend.blogspot.com/2009/12/wordsworth-house-and-garden-cockermouth.html). So it'll been a long long time before people will see the garden in all it's glory like Bilbo did. It's been a real blow for the local people of Cockermouth, many of whom won't be spending Christmas in their own homes this year. From one gardener to another it would be great to spare a thought for the people of Cumbria this Christmas.
