Taking It Easy

Goodmorning...I hope everyone had a great weekend. I won't be blogging much this week...I got laid off Friday, so I am taking a little time out, and staying in Birmingham for the week with a friend. She just moved here on Saturday, so I am helping her get settled in. We have a lot of projects to do! Today we are going to build some shelving units for her closets! I will be around later on reading blogs and seeing what ya'll are doing. I am also keeping close tabs on Bilbo....he should be showing up anytime now.

See you soon!

Good morning Dirt Princess ~ Sorry to hear about your layoff. I have been cut back to two days a week since around March. It sounds like you have some nice work ahead of you helping your friend settle into her new place. Have fun and we'll be waiting to hear from you when you come back.

All that job hunting! I'm sure she'll love the help and second opinion on things.

Hey girl,
I'm sorry about the job!! I know it's not much consolation, but at least it wasn't a job you loved. I know something (in your field!) will come along soon. Let me know if I can do anything,
Ginger

Hi Dirt Princess, I'm so sorry to hear about your getting laid off. With your talent at what you do I'm sure you'll find something in no time. That's great that you will be able to help your friend settle in. I'll bet she will have the fanciest closets in the county with you helping design it! LOL
Sorry I haven't been here much but I haven't forgot ya. I'll be making the rounds and posting again when everything settles down here a bit. Dad is doing a bit better and I think will be coming home again in a day or two. I've been able to spend some 'quality' time with him.

I'm sorry about your job, SQ, but as another commenter said, it wasn't a job that you enjoyed. SO--maybe now you can find something in your line of work. You have SO much talent--and I'm sure you will eventually will find a good job.

Glad you have a distraction right now. Hang in there--and things WILL work out.

Hugs,
Betsy

Sorry to hear this news. But what you can do now is go for a holiday, rest well, enjoy gardening to the fullest and everything that you couldn't do when working before you start a new job!

The lack of job just means you're free to go after that perfect thing when it comes knocking! I know it probably doesn't feel like that now but forced vacation is still vacation!

Oh no! That just sucks! I'm so sorry to hear about this. This economy is just scary. I went to pay my mortgage and the company had just upped and closed it's doors without any info on how to make your payments. I was half hoping I was mortgage free, but alas, that didn't happen. Anyway, I was laid off back in March but thankfully found something soon after. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
