Fertilizer Friday - 4/5/13

It's been a while....

That seems to be the opening of the last few blog posts I have done. I have a lot going on these days and I am finally sprucing this yard up.

Today I am going to link up to my 'ol pal Tootsie for Fertilizer Friday.

I took these pictures a few weeks ago before it got freezing cold, the hot, then cold, then hot, then rain, then there was a wind storm and now its cold again. We have some C-R-A-Z-Y weather around here!

This was one of the camellias from a few weeks ago. I have several old camellias in the yard. They were really pretty when they were blooming.

Even prettier are the azaleas....

Everyone keeps telling me to cut them back. I don't want to cut them back, they are gorgeous. Azaleas are only pretty for about 2 weeks, then the blooms fall off and they are just a shrub. They are ugly then,  but when they bloom......it is worth it.

These azaleas are pretty large....

I also have several Wisteria plants. Some are growing amidst the azaleas.

I love the smell of Wisteria

One reason I haven't been blogging in a while is because of this sweet angel

Elleigh Reed White arrived  January 23, 2013 at 4pm. She weighed 8lbs 11oz and was 21" long. Her dad picked the name Elleigh, and then Reed is a family name.

She is a sleeper!!! She sleeps all night long in her bed. She slept in our room in a Rock-n-Play for the first month, then we put her in her bed. She loves it.

She wasn't real sure about those bows on her head....she could see them out of the corner of her eyes.....

She laughs and coos all the time...she is a happy little girl

She loves it outside. I take her outside in her pack and play while I work in the yard. That's the best way to get yard work done!

I have planted lots of seeds. We have gotten a lot of rain lately, so they should be popping up any day.

Congratulations! How lucky you are that she is a good sleeper! I remember those days of carting my boys around in a backpack- now they are 13 and 15, so it has been awhile!
My azaleas are just getting ready to bloom here in Oregon.

Your azaleas are amazing and oh so beautiful. I love it that you have wisteria growing in among them too.

But the loveliest flower of all is your sweet daughter Elleigh.

Congrats to all of you.

Hi I am new here came in via FF. Congratulations on your new "rose" in your garden, she is such a bundle of joy! But the azaleas are really also a "hedge of joy", unfortunately they don't perform as lovely here in the tropics.
