Tossed Aside

I got these flowers last year as a gift from The Dirt Queen. It is tulips, hyacinths and daffodils. I set them outside last spring with every intention of planting them.....and forgot!!!! As I was cleaning the garden last weekend, I found them! I had set them out behind the shed, and completely forgot about them. Low and behold the hyacinths were blooming! Go figure....you toss it aside and forget about it....and look what it does!!!! If I had wanted it to bloom it wouldn't have!!

It is just beautiful and the color so deep. My kids gave me a pot of hyacinths for Easter about five years ago. I planted them under a welcome birdhouse at the edge of my carport. They are the first flowers of the season for me filling the air with their melodies of fragrance. The little stems are pokin' through about an inch and a half right now. I'm so anxious, I'm beside myself.

God bless and have a marvelous Monday!!!

What a pretty purple! Maybe I'll put the hyacinths that I have in a pot and just forget about them to see if they bloom next spring.

Nice new header with your daffodils!

I love how hyacinths open out and become more natural when you grow them outside, compared to indoors where they're all uptight. I can smell them from here :)

mm..mm.. I hope the Dirt Queen does not read this! Sometimes forgetting a plant does it more good than cossetting it,enjoy the beautiful blues of the hyacinth!

I love when that happens. I currently am trying to kill a rose in my back yard. ;D

Hi There, I love Hyacinths... Yours are a gorgeous color. Ours aren't blooming up here on the plateau yet. In fact, our weather has been horrible this week (cold and cloudy). Even the Crocuses won't 'open' up.....

Great mosaic.
Hugs,
Betsy
