Gotta Love A Good Bargain!

I love to find junk I can make into treasure!
I found these tiles at my favorite consignment shop. I wouldn't necessarily call them junk, I thought they were pretty cool! But someone didn't want them, thank goodness! I applied them to my wall behind the sink. This area is always getting dirty, so the tiles will help keep it clean and add some color.
Around Christmas I found all of these old utensils at the same consignment shop. I bought two of each, one for me, one for the Dirt Queen. Then we found some old rakes, and hung them on the prongs to display them.
I always find some really cute things at our local Dollar General. I found this welcome sign there the other day. I got another one that is very similar, except it says "Spring". When Spring finally arrives I will hang it up.
I also found these cute wreaths at Dollar General for $8! One is a watering can.....
...and the other is a dragonfly! I just loved them!
I also got these two for a good bargain....FREE!! They have finally become best buds! They snuggle together, play together, and eat together. I was wondering if Kiki would ever take to Peaches, but clearly she has since she is resting her head on her! Aren't they sweet!

I just love the splash back behind your sink and your cookin' utensils. I'm lovin' that rustic look. I'm a rustic sorta gal. Your kitties look like they may be plannin' a coo....I'd keep a close eye on 'em. Heeehehe!

God bless and have a glorious day!!!

After seeing your door wreaths I'm wondering if I need to make a quick trip to Dollar General. You never know what you are going to find there.

Love the tiles. They look really cute behind your sink.

You have a good eye for treasures! The idea of using an old rake as a rack is great!

Call them junks, or recycles or whatever, as long as they are handy, functioning and serve the purpose well, they are real treasures!! ~ bangchik (temporary keeper of Bilbo.. now he is homesick! haha...)

I think Dollar General gets roughly 1/2 of my annual income! I have not seen these particular things at my DG...I will be looking. They do have some pretty mini-garden flags though for only $1.50. Those things are $5 and up everywhere else! I love to repurpose "junk" too. As a matter of fact I need to finish some junk projects before the weather breaks. Loved your ideas!

Those tiles are awesome! I can't imagine someone getting rid of them. You really have a unique and distinct look! I've found some stuff at Goodwill from time to time but you've convinced me to check out DG too!
