Mobile Botanical Gardens Gallery of Gardens Tour 2011 - The LAST gardens on tour

Today is the LAST day of the Mobile Botanical Gardens Gallery of Gardens Tour. I don't know about ya'll...but I'm glad these are the last two gardens. I have a blog backlog LOL!

So let's knock these out...

First we have the Malkove Garden

Beautiful hanging baskets with a Vitex tree in the foreground

This yard wasn't very large, but they had a nice layout

They had a very large rose garden. If you read the bio on them then you saw that they spray the roses every 14 days....God Bless 'em. I'll stick to my simple little roses.

I really liked this sculpture. I think I could scrounge up enough old rusty junk to make me a nice little sculpture.

And now for the last garden, The Yager Garden. I'm sad to report that I didn't personally make it to this garden. I had previous plans and had to run off before seeing this one. The Hydrangea Queen graciously shared her photos with me so I could share with ya'll. As luck would have it....the one I missed out on....was the one you needed to see.

This is a creeping fig vine, and the Yager's only trim the bottom part. The plant makes a mushroom like cap on its own.

All of their bird feeders are on pulleys

Cozy little hot tub tucked away.

I absolutely love this precious greenhouse!!! Look at those doors!

This is where I would like to be right now.....ahhhh

Well that's it for the Gallery of Gardens Tour. I hope ya'll enjoyed all 10 gardens.

It is already hot, hot, hot here!!! Last night at 7:00pm it was 97 degrees! It's currently 86 degrees. I spoke to Tootsie the other day and she was telling me it was 16 above freezing there. That is just crazy to me. She will tell me it is warm there today proceeded by its 16 above freezing! LOL! Our coldest winters aren't even that cold. So what's the weather where you live?

Very hot and dry in Conroe TX. Even my zinnia patch is frying and they never did that in Mobile. Love the garden tours-it reminded me of home! Hugs, Carol

I finally had a chance to come and visit all these gardens (before the Housewives start, I think I remember you saying you watched them too). That must have been so much fun to go on. I joined a group here, but keep missing when they have open gardens. There sure is a lot of inspiration in these gardens. I really wish I had as much space to garden in.

Lovely home and gardens. What a neat pool and I wish I was there right now.

Hi Dirt Princess I do love your blog. Here in Melbourne at the moment winter has well and truly set in . This week we have had rain, hail and frost along with some sunshine today. A couple of nights it got down to about 4 degrees celcius which is really chilly!!! I admired your pics particularly the green house and that pool!

Please sign my guest book :)
