Fertilizer Friday Feb 24, 2012

TGIF!!! Today I am linking up with my old friend Tootsie...well she's not old....ya'll know what I mean!!! I am joining her for Fertilizer Friday!

I bought an old chest of drawers at an antique store last week and had to go pick it up. I enlisted the Hydrangea Queen to help me do this.

When we were headed back home, I was driving and blabbering about something and she yells, "BULBS!!!".  So I turn around and go back up the road and see this.....

It was an old lot where an house used to be and it was covered in daffodils!!

Ofcourse we didn't have a shovel in the truck...but we did find some sticks we used to dig a few bulbs up!

There were also a few snowdrops

I think these are called Butter and Eggs??? Not real sure.
Needless to say we plan on going back and getting more ;-)

Please go check out my new website called dirt. It is my new design website. If you need any design services I would be glad to help you! Come check it out.

Be careful of snakes and holes if you go back. You do have permission to go there? People in the country aren't as benevolent as they used to be about strangers.

Some guy got his directions wrong the other day and our dog kept him from getting his misguided hands on our bulldozer thinking it was the one down the road a ways. He was on the phone saying 'This dog won't let me get out of the truck,' as I rounded the corner of the equipment shed. "So STAY IN your truck," I said. We got it straight about just to whom this bulldozer did not belong and he went on his way. Honest mistake, but a body doesn't want to be caught on the wrong ground. The dog knew, too.

I am admiring patches like those all over my route to work. It makes me so happy to see those dots of yellow everywhere. I love the ruffled "butter and eggs" By the way the bell shaped flowers are summer snowflakes. I "found" some and relocated them to my yard. I think they look like little fairy bells.
