I love dragonflies and have been noticing a lot of them around also. Those are some great shots. DF's love to eat mosquitoes.
Have a great week ~ FlowerLady
The heat is not bothering the dragonflies at all! We have tons of them too, love to watch them. Great photos....thinking about having my girls do a rain dance in the yard!!
Oh, they are so beautiful. I once gazed into a dragonfly's eyes for about a half-hour. It was a beautiful day.
I'm sorry about your lack of rain and apologize for being so overly vocal about our floods here. Wish we could even it out somehow! Wishing you rain...
Wow, great pictures!! Do you live near water?
FlowerLady I hope they eat ALL of them!
Darla please have them do a rain dance!!
June don't worry about that, send it my way!!! LOL!!
Ginger I live a mile or so from the river and numerous creeks.
They must love your garden, especially to sit and pose for you like that :)
I still haven't seen too many here yet.
Your pictures are awesome! We should meet and do a rain dance but I can't dance with two broke toes! :D KEEP COOL!
I am starting to see more in my yard too. There is something almost ethereal about them. I love the picture of the one of the dark fleur de lis. It looks like a church steeple. Very cool!
Such great photos, dragonflies are cool but they don't stay in one place long enough to photograph them.
Yep-we have 'em too.I think they're the only ones happy in these heat and humidity.
Agree with Sue re:the one with the fleur de lis.
Wow Great Pictures!!!!
I love dragonflies!!! I wish they would come visit me!!! I have not seen any this year so far!
I rarely see a dragonfly around here. Now I know where they all are! Still, delicate and graceful creatures.
